In Memorium


Felicia Melton-Smyth, well-known supporter and philanthropist within the Madison area GLBT community, was murdered in her penthouse hotel room early in the morning on Memorial Day, 2008 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

A suspect is being held and an investigation is underway on the murder.

Thanks, Kelli, we didn't really know her, but I am sure we had seen her now and then as she worked at one of the older gay bars in Madison. We very seldom go to the bars anymore. I thought it was unique that the news coverage never made it big news that she was trans, just that she was a Madison woman who was murdered.
